{Thyroid Newsletter} Is thyroid remission possible?

Published about 2 months ago • 3 min read

Hi Reader,

The real question you should be asking your doctor is NOT how do I just manage this but how can I put it in remission?

Honestly, these cases are just so few. Less than 5% of women with thyroid disease are truly able to put it in remission!

Why?!

Because NO ONE is sharing how it's possible. We're often told, "Medication for life!"

and "There is no "cure."

In today's newsletter I want to share with you how NOT only is this possible but the lifestyle domains to focus on in order to heal.

Let's Start With Diet

Your diet influences every function of you body. I understand it can be confusing with what you're hearing in the online space.

"Eat this, not that."

"More protein."

"Avoid oats."

"Drink ACV."

You've most likely been through the ringer with trying every diet out there with little to know dietary changes.

That's why my approach The Thyroid Method is different.

It's different because it's a framework that focuses on proven dietary interventions (like anti-inflammatory foods), stress reduction, movement, and more.

I'm sorry but I believe the medical industry is working for Big Pharma and their interest has everything to do with MONEY and not your best interest, sadly and unfortunately.

Unfortunately, trends and mainstream media focus on things that you may have tried like:

⚫️ HIGH amounts of protein, "Get your 90 grams/day"

⚫️ Avoiding ALL sugar, including reducing your fruits

⚫️ Eating high fats from full fat dairy, cream, and butter

These seem like relatively innocent concepts BUT if you're following this advice but yet you're not seeing the needle move, it's because they don't work for someone who has a thyroid condition.

Why, you ask? Because your immune system is burnt out and the priority needs to focus on fueling your cells & immune system with micro nutrients, minerals, trace minerals, and NOT fats and proteins.

The Thyroid Method focuses on what your body NEEDS, like:

Fruits and starchy carbohydrates to supply adequate glucose to your cells

✨ Hydration from water containing fruits and vegetables

✨ Overall low fat diet

✨ Wild foods, herbs, and vegetables for gut health

Some animal protein is FINE. Our culture however has put an over emphasis on animal protein which doesn't help (it's not causing the problem it's just not the antioxidant your body is looking for).

Let's Talk Movement

Ok lets talk movement for a quick second.

Movement doesn't need to look like you've becoming a gym rat.

Movement can look like you just invented a new exercise called walking...lol.

Seriously, I'm obsessed and my husband is like, you talk about walking as if it's some new thing that no one has heard of... haha.

That's because I think we underestimate the power of getting 10k -15k steps in per day.

If you're NOT feeling energized to do anything, then you need to start with feeding yourself and then walk for 10 mins.

Walking is our basic movement and even doing it for 15 mins a day to start can be powerful.

Let's Talk Stress

Our culture normalizes stress. Deadlines, parenting, finances, the fear of war, and so much more has caused us to live in a constant state of stress.

We are constantly running from the tiger in the jungle with high cortisol levels surging through our body. This isn't normal!

Elevated cortisol levels leave us depleted, exhausted, aging faster, and contribute to insulin resistance and weight resistance.

Simply walking, breathing, meditating, and living a life where you're going to prioritize your mental health is going to help you reduce this toxic hormone.

This can look like self-care, spending alone time with yourself, or creating a morning and evening ritual.

This is personally one of my favorite areas because I love nothing more than feeling good from a bubble bath or tapping into my feminine energy, verses in a constant state of masculine energy and trying to solve every problem in the household.

So what's the solution?

Prioritize your self-care!!

If you're like, what does that even look like, Annette?!?

Go get a massage.

✨Go for a 30 min walk.

✨Start meditating for 5 minutes every morning.

✨ Just breathe or start journaling.

The idea is to reconnect with yourself! If you don't love yourself enough to prioritize self-care, then how can you heal if you don't allow yourself the time or dedication it requires.

What does this week have you reflecting on? What will you choose to do differently?

In the meantime I created a new course called the "Thyroid Mini Course: Thyroid 101 The Path to Remission."

It's for you if you're NOT ready to invest thousands of dollars in coaching.

It's a self-paced course with a 21-Day Meal Plan, tests to ask your doctor about, exercises, and supplements and medication to ask for.

The BEST part is, it's ONLY $88 dollars.

You don't need to shell out thousands of dollars. Try it on your own first so that you can increase your energy, lose weight, and reduce your medication.

Imagine waking up feeling rested and vibrant with tons of energy throughout the day.

Don't miss out on this self-paced course + group experience.

Inside are the exact tools and resources I use for ALL my clients who are finding thyroid relief, reducing their medication, and losing weight.

I hope to see you inside the course.
